At this point in my project, I have fully immersed myself in the literature review. As a postdoctoral, I should love to be surrounded by books and bookshelves, preferably in a book storage facility. And actually, this is what I love to do, in fact. Since this is an essential focus of the project, I have reviewed books from various disciplines: food industry and production sites, fish salting process, human health and consumption habits, along with the physics of liquids, mathematical modeling, and essays on the philosophy of science.
At the moment, I still have no access to the research equipment (well, scholars should be flexible too and instead of daydreaming, as many see as doing, be adaptive and supportive regardless of the circumstances). In fact, this is a valuable experience for me - to adjust the research plan and the approved methodology with its time plan to the real-life situation, which is not necessarily always perfect and agrees with the initially decided. On the other hand, it gave me a great chance to run an in-depth literature analysis, which can be an endless process tbh.
